Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What other Sats are available on a 1.1m motorised dish in Dublin?

This is what I have so far:

    Sirius 4
    Eutelsat 7A
    Eurobird 9A
    Hotbird 13
    Eutelsat 16A
    Astra 19
    Astra 3/Thor 2
    Astra 2A
    Amos 2,3
    Hispasat 30
    KU Arabsat 2/3A

    Amos 2,3
    Hispasat 30
    KU Arabsat 2/3A

Are you sure about Amos? I only ever got one transponder on that one and nothing at present. Also what position is KU Arabsat 2/3A?

I have a 1.1 m dish in Dundalk and this is what I get at present, positions without decimal points.

West 45,37,34 (data signals, no broadcasting), 30,27, 24, 22, 15, 12,11,8,5 and 1. When I get my dish tweaked to optimum I should also get weak signals on 18, 7, and 4 (Amos).

East 53,45,42,39,36,33,28,26,23,21,19,16,13,10,9,7,4 and 3. I used to get 57 East as well.

No much to see on a lot of these.

If you're posting a list of satellites, give the positions they are at & look up the current names of the satellites that are actually at those positions, rather than relying on the list stored in your receiver.

E.g. Sirius 4 is now Astra 4A (4.8 degrees east)

Hmmm, I think your right about Amos - just checked a few stations on it but they seem to have come in from Eutelsat 7

What transponder is working for you?

I cant get any of the Sats over 28 eg 33, 36, 39

Indeed, I dont have a lot of the Sats pretuned in my box that you have listed above

I believe my KU Arabsat is at 26 - I have the whole set-up focused on MBC on 11919 27500 and getting 90% and 70% signal quality and strength

    Don't forget east & west.

You seem to have the arc from 28 east to 30 west anyway, maybe try filling in a few of the western sats. I wonder if your dish has a view of anything past 28 east?

What are you getting on the Amos sats. @ 4W?

TBH I dont think Im getting anything - I did a blind scan and I think the stations that it got are from 7.0 (E2 and Kral TV for example)

Cant seem to get anything west except Hispasat 30

And now I have just checked 30 and get stations from 7e too like TRT Haber

Obviously then there is something wrong and the dish it is not moving to the right place for West Sats and my STB is lying to me

So basically I have no West Sats only East upto 28 (Edit: I have 0.8W now)

Above 28E, I think my house is in the way

OK, Im on the right track. This is what I have now:

    30w, 22w, 15w, 12.5w, 5w, 1w, 4.8e, 7e, 10e, 13e, 16e, 19e, 23e, 26e, 28e.

Had to add 12.5w and 22w to my list; they were not there

And what do you guys do for like 0.8e and 1.0e - do you just scan on one of those? Likewise on 9e and 10e?

No more reason to separately scan 0.8 & 1 west than there is 28.2 & 28.5 east. They're always listed as 1 position anyway.
