socket extension

Hi all,

looking for a socket extension like this:



but with an IR remote control? Does such a thing exist. I can find it in a lead form but would like to keep it up off the floor?

Dunno if this is any use but saw those, without the remote control facility, in one of the local eurosaver shops in Galway.
They were 2 euro.

specifically looking for the remote control as the socket will be hard to access (behind TV) and it would be nice to turn off all devices in one go etc...

I had a similar problem with the sockets being located inside a built in unit in the sitting room. I got a local electrician to fit a "killer switch" (kills the power to all the sockets) about 4 ft high on the side of the unit so at night time its just the same as switching off the light. Think it cost me about €20 at the time but that was a neighbor who done it.
