Why are you widening your scope ?

Why would we need to benchmark to other lotteries ?

Its quite obviously profitable and quite obviously not in the best hands to manage it properly.

Yet your option is to farm it out rather than address the issue ourselves. Hands to the pumps so to speak.

    Poor attitude frankly

Do you even know what that profit figure means?

Funniest post I've read in ages, well done, you left a smile on my face for the day.
My only worry would be that some readers might think your were being serious!

You've a lot to learn about how the world works.

Do some research on what happens when the IMF go into a country.

How long before the company that will be charging us for water will be sold off too? Imagine that. A foreign corporation owning our national water supply.

I know where it is and how to spell it.

However that has nothing to do with what I've posted.

    Conpiracy Theories forum =====>

dont think thats a conspiracy theory. i fear it will eventually be sold. neither of us can prove it either way.

anyway sale of state assets projected to raise 3 BILLION.

our national debt is going to be 300 BILLION!

its hardly making a dent in the massive debt, so, would be better off holding on to them and providing an income for ourselves? i believe its an obvious answer.

Hint: compare the 'profit' figure versus the amount dispersed to causes...

What income does the lottery generate, and how will thy change when privatized?

ah jaysus, i never wrote it down. watching vincent one night someone mentioned this figure, its not definite, no one knows for sure. the growth we need is not developing so therefore i'd imagine the projected debt is going to get bigger.

    anyway i can offer this

http://www.financedublin.com/debtclock.php its currently at 167 billion, and only going one way. very fast :(

so for the sake of accuracy i will rewrite it

money raised from firesale of state assets 3 BILLION

    CURRENT DEBT 167 BILLION

what our overall debt will be if and when this nightmare ends, no one knows.

therefore i would still suggest we hold onto our state assets and generate an income from them. its our own money that can be used to stimulate the economy without having to borrow money and make things worse.

i hope most people would be in agreement?

I'm not sure how the income will change, but it will mean a %age of the profits will end up in private hands.
