So after 4 months and 60 games (61 if you count the one in New York), the "provisional" winner if you will, is poppers with a very impressive 123 points. shiibata was second with 113 points (which would have been enough to be the provisional winner last season) and jimmy the car completing the podium places with 109 points. However, I've still yet to calculate the bonus points from the predictions at the start of the year. Chances are, this will not affect the outright winner, but could have an impact on the "European" places.
I'm gonna calculate the points from the hurling pools first so sit tight...

All Ireland SFC winner: Dublin
All Ireland SFC runner up: Mayo

Leinster SFC winner: Dublin
Munster SFC winner: Kerry
Connacht SFC winner: Mayo
Ulster SFC winner: Monaghan

Other Quarter Finalists: Donegal, Cork, Tyrone, Cavan

You get 2 points for each one of these you got correct. You got zero points if you predicted a team to win their provincial title and didn't, yet still made it to the quarter finals. And vice versa.

So that's it. Congratulations to poppers who has ran away with the 2013 All Ireland SFC Pools competition with a massive 135 points. 2nd place was a dead heat between shiibata and Andy Dunne11 on 119 points. ari_gold24 was a point further back in 4th with 5th place being shared by Liamos Dubs and Comic Book Guy on 117 points.
On the initial predictions, 4 players (padd b1975, castletownman, ciarraithuaidh and blackbelt) got 14 points in them. Not one person managed to predict Monaghan's Ulster success or Cavan making it to the quarter finals.

We had the biggest ever participation in a pools competition on the forum with well over 50 players engaging in it from start to finish so thanks to everyone who participated.
A massive thanks to Andy Dunne11 who took over scoring while I was away on holidays in June/July and saved me hours of work when I got back.

If ye all had fun, then come back at the end of January when I'll be starting up the 2014 NFL pools competition. All users, new and old, are welcome.
