Lake District Mountain Biking

Just wondering does anyone know of any Mountain Biking that can be had in the Lake District in England? There's meant to be loads of options over there but i'm just trying to find out which one is the best one, will need to hire bikes and helmets etc. Actually if there was some quad biking we'd that a go as well.
