Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What Bazz said....when/if you get your DPD tracking number you should see that your order is coming from the Fatherland.

    How long did you wait?

    Let's see when it comes

Also, Why there are more people complaining eiretyre than camskill or other online tyre suppliers?

You totally didn't understand the situation and I don't want to explain again and again.

You saying people singing the same tone, this just due to you don't experience the bad experience I am in now. And it is not mean their business has no problem and complain free.

Just do a quick search on google about eiretyre.

Eiretyres.ie despite the Irish internet domain name are German and afaik their stock comes from Germany so it is bound to take the bones of 5 working days to arrive. I've ordered from Camskills in the UK and they took 3 working days to arrive at my door.

Germans eh! i will niemals order from zem den.

the t'internet isn't always the best place to get stuff from. I'd prefer to ring a few local places and see what price they can offer.

One of My complain is: I didn't receive an email regards the DPD tacking number yet, and it's third working days. And tyre still in their warehouse or even worse the tyre manufacturer warehouse

I called local places and get quote way too high than those online places. And also the tyre I am looking for is newer version/replacement of old K107 where camskill don't have them. Email from camskill:"I just rang Hankook and they said the k117 is not produced yet in the Uk in this model, It will be around September"

So I have to choose eiretyre.

My thread is very simple and easy to understand.

If you like using eiretyre, then continue give your business to them, I am not stopping any of you to make up your own mind, I just giving my bad experience with them and a normal negative review like any business may get. People will check the review and decide. I did search a lot before I put my order on eiretyre, I saw some negative review (even just check them on boards.ie) but want give them a try. Seems I am the unlucky one who had bad experience.

In fairness I've bought from eiretyres in the past too, never experienced any issues personally other than it took longer for them to arrive. Depending on the tyre it can be cheaper to buy online even when you take exchange rate and fitting costs into account. As with anything the advice is to shop around.

    1) There may have been a delay in the transaction going through banks, payment may have transferred but still be "Pending" so they are waiting to clear.
    2) Unless it explicity says next day delivery why would you expect it to ship straight away, they may be waiting for the money to clear before sending it out, this is normal with distance selling. They may also only have pickups on certain days
    3) You will get an email update when it ships, this has been said several times
    4) They didnt answer the phone, maybe they were on lunch or busy when you rang.
    5) When did you put in the call back? If they are back logged maybe it will take time to get back to you#
    6) Again they may not have gotten the mail yet it can take a couple of days sometimes to get a response or maybe they are checking things for you

Just because they are a little slower than you expected does not mean they are dodgy. You are a costumer from hell, expect the world to move for you and slate a reputable business online because of your impossibly high standards. I'm sure they will be glad never to have to deal with you again.

    .....
I have said in previous post, wont you read those? The payment is already confirmed on last Thursday!

  • Registered Users Posts: 124 ✭✭xlight

Seems like people in this thread likes eiretyre a lot, and hope you all will have a trouble free shopping with them in future.

And also seems I can't have negative comments on eiretyre.

Guys, come on. The payment is confirmed, they just not sent to me and I don't know when they will send to me. It's not about how long it takes to delivery. It's still in the warehouse. I am doubting if they have those tyres in stock at first place now.

Last Thursday which is just 1 working day ago. Thursday was actually a bank holiday in Germany so that might explain some of the problem.

    "Ascension 09.05.2013 (thursday) all provinces"

    Give them time.

I have never bought tires online, only in a local shop so I am not a fan of any particular online shop but there is no valid complaint, slating a shop online for such petty things is irresponsible and can do serious damage to a trader. Give them the time first to deal with it and then if it is not sorted give out. Wait until the end of this week and if you have not heard anything then you can complain. You can have a negative comment when it is justified.

    Updates on the tyres.

I am sorry to brought the solution too quick on eiretyre. The guy from eiretyre emailed me yesterday saying there was unexpected delay in their warehouse getting shipment from manufacture.

But there are still a few points they need to improve.

Every business has things it could improve on. Coming on to one of Irelands most popular forum websites, slating a company and stating you'd never deal with them again because of a slight delay could severely damage their reputation.

I think you could edit your original post if possible.

Hi there, it's not about the delay, it's about the attitude of coming back/replying customer, read through the thread first. I don't think you would like to be treated like this ever. Try my shoes first and talk again.

Any companies have negative feedback, one bad feedback doesn't mean it's not a good company and damage the reputation of the company, i.e., google, apple, etc...

    Feedback is for improving business.

Delivery is 3-5 working days as standard. You ordered on Thursday so you'd assume they'd be there by about the following Thursday. Once Eiretyres knew they were going to have a delay they emailed you about it.

I did read the thread by the way and I do agree that companies need feedback but coming onto a really popular website/forum in Ireland and slating a company rather unnecessarily IMO, isn't the way to go about it.

If for example the tyres were not delivered two or three days after the 3-5 working days were up then you'd have reasonable grounds to complain. I think in this case it's more to do with lack of patience tbh. :)

    Hi guys,

Let me add my experience with Eiretyres.com.

I bought my tyres a couple of weeks ago and today went to the garage to have them fitted.

The garage says their "balancer" is broken and I am now left with 2 new 17" tyres in the boot of my car. Waiting for a response from Eiretyres to see what the next step will be

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭Yawns

The next step is to bring the tyres to another garage. Are you seriously telling me that you actually drive on our roads?

Common sense would dictate you go somewhere else to fit the tyres. Eiretyres have no more involvement with you. You bought tyres from them and they delivered them to your address. They supply a list of tyre fitters as those people have said they will fit them. In some cases when I have rang some of those places, they had decided to change their mind. Not Eiretyres fault at all. Again common sense would tell you to go to another tyre fitters.

    Holy ****ing ****.

You can hardly blame eiretyres for a broken balancer at a tyre fitting place???
Just wait until tomorrow, they will have it fixed as a matter or urgency!

There is 40 fitting stations listed in the Dublin area by Eiretyres, do you not think there might be an alternative fitting place available?

I ordered tyres on 13 October 2013, got confirmation email of order next day and a promise of an email when tyres were dispatched. Five working days later, nothing, no dispatch note, nothing. I rang and was promised a dispath date of 16th, yesterday but nothing. Very bad service.

I bought all my tyres from eiretyres. Never problem. Always arrived in time (1 or 2 weeks max)
I always by tyres in advance, winter tyres I buy in summertime and summer tyres in wintertime. Plus you always get guaranteed good off-season price.
If you want cheap price combined with rapid delivery you should live in Germany.
If you want customer chit-chat and emails you should live in United States of America.

    IMHO

Mad thread. When I need tires fast I but In shops. If I have time online is fine and iv never had a problem. You cant expect online to be 2 or 3 days. If it is brilliant. If 1-2 weeks normal. Longer then something is wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,208 ✭✭✭keithclancy

I use them its just a website for Delticom which are bloody huge.

www.autobandenmarkt.nl is the same company for example.

Never had a problem, if you need tyres fast go to a local tyre place that has stuff in stock.

I don't think even amazon would meet your expectation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 643 ✭✭✭kagni

Just reading through this thread and not sure why everyone is jumping on xlight, he might have been impatient, but why was the tyre he ordered showing "IN STOCK" when it obviously wasn't.

If I was in his shoes I would be a bit annoyed too - he ordered a tyre that showed in stock and expected it would at least be delivered in the expected time - now they tell him it's not in stock and he will have to wait until they get more in from the supplier.

I think people were saying wait a while before complaining.
Eiretyres in fairness came back and said that they had an unexpected delay, thats not unreasonable. This is the real world and shít happens, machines break down, computers fail. They did respond to him though.
I think the moral of this is:
If you want cheap tyres or specialist tyres buy from an online shop.
If you want a chat and some tyres that day use your local supplier.
Option 1 is slowish, Option 2 is Fast

Right so you ordered tyres on the 13th which is a Sunday but are here on the 17th which is the middle of the 4th working day and you are complaining about them having bad service. This is also your first post on Boards.ie so you'll have to excuseme while I reach for this pinch of salt over here.

Your order won't be starting to process until Monday at the earliest and there could be a queue of orders over the weekend which would be ahead of yours. Then they wait for the courier to come and pick up the order, process it and give them the tracking info so they may pass on to you.

But you are one of those special people who want local service online. You say you rang and was promised a dispatch date of the 16th so you must have rang on the Monday during which they would only be looking at your order or Tuesday when they may have gotten your order processed and awaiting courier. Next you'll be following the footsteps of another person and complaining that a garage won't fit them and you don't know what to do....

Also worth noting that Eiretyres are a German company and their warehouse hub is in Germany afaik so it takes longer to get them over here.
