Has anybody had to log onto their bank account on their phone at immigration?

Might opt for travellers cheques if they are a more smooth procedure

Its admittedly its a good few years since I was on J1 but they didnt look at any proof of fund for me or any of my friends. I wouldn't bother with travelers cheques either way. Hassle getting them changed to cash and commission to pay too!

Nah, myself or friends were never asked for proof. I had a statement handy just incase they did tho. The officer just asked and moved on.

Thanks lads. Was that last year?
