Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelsea very flat and riding their luck a little bit. They're being helped by some dreadful finishing from Benfica.

    bangs of last year haha

No Didier to pull our chestnuts out of the fire this year I'm afraid. Also, would ramires stay onside for gods sake.

Benfica haven't had a shot on target and are living dangerously with the high line, I don't see why Chelsea can't nab a winner and park the bus. Also after the weekend benfica are going to get leggy, especially because they've played the first hour at a much higer intensity

Ramirez kicks tge ball 20 yards ahead of himself realises he won't get it then throws himself on the ground hilarious stuff

    Mata very disappointing

Benfica would drive you nuts. Sublime build up play but they are cacking themselves when it comes to taking the shot. Chelsea will punish them if they continue to waste chances.

He deserves that he's been excellent tonight. Could have went down too, great bottle. Hopefully the Benfica love in can be parked for a few mins at least :~D

Fair play Torres, did well to avoid that rugby tackle... Completely against the run of play, maybe it'll get us going?

Chelsea about to steal their second european title in a row, they have really mastered the art of being outclassed and sneaking the win, look under lucky in the dictionary and the definition will be chelsea in europe, at least they've only robbed the europa league this time, terry probably won't even get kitted out for the trophy lifting

Lol, the bitterness is strong in this one. How did your team do in europe this year?

    This is stupid.

Just because they don't wave a card it doesn't mean people still aren't looking for someone to be booked.

Nice 1. It looked like when Chelsea scored that that was it. Interesting game has opened up a bit since Chelsea scored.

So, sporting behaviour is well and truly dead then?

Ramires is having a complete stinker. Still wouldn't take him off, hes lethal when he gets going on a run.

Hoping for a bit of Pablo Aimar at some stage.

There's a lot less unsporting things than waving a card around. Have you ever shouted at a referee to send someone off? Same difference imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Torres is only 6 goals away from matching his best season at Liverpool.

The point he's making is that "Book him Ref!!" is no different than waving the imaginary card in practicality. Why is it different if its mimed? The effect is the same. For every johnny foreigner waving a card, there is a Steven Gerrard having a sneaky word in the refs ear that people don't get riled up about.
