Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

My OH and I are going in June for 10 nights. Could someone tell me what the beach there is like and does anyone have recommendations for restaurants or things to do in the area please?

    Thanks in advance:D

Hi , beach is good depending on wind . Best rest. Is L'angolo's Italian and small but worth it , it's been a few years since I've been there so hope it's still there . The resort of Alvor is quieter than Praia de rocha which is a mile or two up the road if you are looking for something a bit more lively . Enjoy .

You usually can't go too wrong with TripAdvisor, I find: http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Restaurants-g642199-Alvor_Portimao_Algarve.html

I was there for ten days and Rucollo place was the best we'd eaten in. There's loads of cheap n cheerful eateries at the sea front where you can get lovely fresh barbecued fish and salad for about a tenner which makes for a smashing lunch.

I'm a huge fish fan so that sounds perfect!
