    this is the most sound advice you can follow. But here is the university policy on compensation.

    Again, your time is better spend studying that reading this, deal with the consequences after, if you are going to fail then you are going to fail... at least give yourself a fighting chance of passing by focusing all your effort on the course material than on the "what if's" of exams!

    You can fail three over the course of your degree and pass by compensation, provided you have a GPA of above 2.0.

    That's only for E grades that you can compensate. An F is an F and will require a repeat. You can compensate for 25% or your modules as E's provided you have attained the passing grade in the other 75% of the modules and your GPA is above 2.0, which it would have to be unless you got D's in every other module!
