Only able to get 1mb broadband

    I recently got my line reconnected and was talking to the rep on the phone about what broadband package I would be able to get. He told me I would only be able to get 1mbps broadband. I only live about 600 metres away from the nearest exchange. Surely I should be able to get faster broadband than this.

    Afterwards I searched online and found this thread

    I though that since I had only just been reconnect to the line one of these tests has not been performed on my line yet. 

    Would it be possible to get the line tested?
