Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A lot of players there I wouldn't be very familiar with Power, Ryan, Lalor, Cregan, Lavelle, Gilsenan and Foley would be about it.

Just to say Terry Kennedy who started vs he English team was not considered due to illness.

why is it strange? Both need games to prep for interpros? This close to interpros theyre hardly going to play another schools u18 provincial side and youths not going to play youths provincial side. U18 sides are not going to play AIL sides like u20s will. who else would they play?

Maybe the once yes obviously the 18's went to France there but thought they may have played a side in England or Wales as the Youths v Schools Under 18's tend to be mismatches and i thought the youths may have played some of the larger and stronger schools sides.

    Just my view.

u18 clubs v schools don't always tend to be mismatches. Sometimes yes they are but less likely nowadays.
Youths also due to play Michaels Senior Cup team in next week or two.
Schools are back and not possible to go to france/England with kids having classes to go to.

The first schools v youths match was very even when both had their first choice 15 on the field. The youths are also playing St Marys SCT and Naas u20 shortly.

Interesting to see the auld Rock cheque book is flashing around Athy RFC again this summer. Seems as if all the others will be playing for 2nd in the Senior Cup again this year.Have no fear. Young Mr. Carberry wont be paying the 17k boarding fees to repeat his L.C. in this hallowed establishment. And he certainly wont be roughing it up and down the Naas Rd. every day... ... Ye very unlucky at the end. The Northampton lads were massive! Leinster looked very good on the counter and their defence was strong for the most part.

Ye the saints were enormous. The English under age sides always are, I think it's because they can be in academies from sometimes as young as 15. Their 12 looked a good player, probably had the build of a back row aswell.

  • Registered Users Posts: 65 ✭✭shawneebuy

Nine of that team player Senior v Moseley in a pre season friendly on Aug.22nd. Leinster lads really dug in and were unlucky not to sneak a win, even though they had lost a bunch of players through injury in the game.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 16 BillsBarn

By the sounds of it the clubs side has some serious players, heard great reports on O'Brien who was playing 12, Russell who was playing TH and Reilly who was playing 8. For the schools side Ryan was apparently at his rampaging best and Power showed some real classy touches at 15.

  • Registered Users Posts: 365 ✭✭Stanza2

They must be looking at O'Brien at a new position. I thought that he was nailed on 10 for the Clubs this year. Who would play 10 if not him?

Match report says Skerries player Ciaran Frawley was at 10.

They may have been trying him at 12 could still as easily be 10 in interpros in 4 weeks time
