It's been confirmed that 41 staff employed by WWRD at the company's offices in Waterford City are involved in a consultation process WWRD - which owns the brand Waterford Crystal - has said in a statement that it's reviewing the roles of back office staff at the Mall and Cleaboy. WWRD - which stands for Waterford Wedgewood Royal Doulton currently employs 62 staff in its offices in the Mall and Cleaboy - 41 of which are now involved in the talks. WWRD has said that staff at the House of Waterford Crystal Manufacturing Facility and Visitor centre are not affected by this process. A spokesperson for the company has said that everything will be done to protect the jobs of the 41 staff involved. The consultation process will take a mininum of 30 days.
