That's inaccurate though, it doesn't really account for the prices of games bought in sales or as part of bundles, so I wouldn't put too much stock in the numbers.

I agree with the sentiment, though the levelling system over there is harsh.

I've created 14 giveaways over the years, but because they're from bundles, or from times before they gave points for it, I'm still level 1.

As said, in theory, great, but seems to take forever to level. I've had 4 giveaways since I joined (with a few more to come), and the criteria for leveling isn't very transparent.

The worst part of the levelling system is that even if you paid full price for a game and it gets bundled later down the line you lose that value (and get only the 15%).. So with time you basically get demoted.. I think that's pretty unfair.

That's not the case. The 15% for bundled games only applies from the time the game was bundled. If you giveaway a game now that is at full price and has not been bundled to date then you get full CV for it. If a month from now that same game gets bundled it doesn't affect your CV, it'll stay the same.

I must say the level system is pretty good for the most part.

It ensures that people give when they can to the group, and in turn get a chance to win a game that they may not have.

But the logic is a bit broken. Bar a few exceptions, the stuff given away was duplicates/freebies/extras. Nothing that actually cost me anything or I could even play.

As regards restrictions on entering, that's up to each giveaway creator. If they're contributing, then it's their discretion as to whether to reward other contributors or to encourage other to contribute as they see fit.

Is there a convenient way of checking if a key you have is unused and a duplicate?
I have an ungodly number of keys waiting on Humble Bundle to be claimed and I can't face manually trawling the list...

Nope, as such. On the Humble, you can select unredeemed keys but that's only keys you haven't clicked on. You may have clicked and not actually used it. There's no way of checking if a key is used or not, and by checking it to see, you actually use it!

Steamgifts checks your steam account to ensure you have recieved games that you won - otherwise it would be open to people "gifting" games and the winner "activating" them... if you know what I mean.
The recievers account could end up getting banned if they mark a game as recieved but it doesn't show up in their steam library.
