Does the desktop decline point to an era's end?

    There will always be a market for them, just not as large as previously now that more and more devices whose function overlap with the desktop market. All kinds of alternatives available for consuming media, playing games, communication etc.

    Ill likely always have a desktop due to what i use it for, which wouldnt even be considered heavy computing, which the alternative devices (other than a laptop) just cant provide for.
