I scaled down a Hobgoblin clone at 80% efficiency I got off some forum, pretty similar to yours. This will get you about 14.5L of wort at the end of the boil, might be worth getting some maris otter and making a full 23L batch.

Divide all weights by 90 and multiply by 66.
I presume as the recipe poster is in Oxford he means imperial gallons (4.5 l) so it's a 22.5 l batch

So I end up with all weights in pounds and aim for 22.5 litres in the fermenter.

I made this hobgoblin clone with all the correct weights as per the recipe, fermented for 3 and a half weeks, its been bottled for 4 weeks now, had a bottle or two last night, its smashing... really really nice... well worth a try for anyone who likes hobgoblin...

    really genuinely dislike hobgoblin...

Every now and again I forget this fact and end up buying a bottle of it. I dunno what it is about it but I find it almost undrinkable

is it just hogoblin, or do you dislike the style in general?

I love the english darker, more robust ales. Hobgoblin is a bit on the light side for me, so I would rarely drink it unless the pub was cleaned out of anything better.
