Oh holy jasus some piece of engineering. :D:D:D

The squares are all half inch square.
The first shot was just bore sighted a shot took from 50 yards. To make sure I was in paper.
Out to 100yards then and that was the first group first time to fire the rifle and first time firing a 243 in 7 years. So it was well spread.

The second group was a bit better. With one flyer I decided 8 clicks up.

On to the third group and I was happy enough and thought at this stage it was just shooter error.

I then had a 4th group. Which was within an inch I reckon and I didn't adjust the scope. At this stage I was happy the gun was set up and it was me, between nerves heavy breathing and so on I was happy enough. As long as I'm shooting ill always seem to get a flyer and its normally the second shot.

Not bad groups, looks generally sub MOA to me, "flyers" could be worse. I have always been happy with 3 shot groups as a standard metric for hunting rifles. That rifle is a keeper for sure.

Oh she is a keeper alright. I reckon the zero is as good as I'm gonna get until I get a little bit more comfortable behind her and get more rounds down range. An start grouping a by tighter.

But for now for hitting foxs I think its grand and sure would I get plenty of more practice out foxing.

Once you get a chance to put more rounds on paper you will get more comfortable with the rifle and the groups will tighten up.
    Just keep practicing.

Would you think I need to put more rounds on paper before I start hunting.

I know we all like the idea of putting the all the shots in the one hole but I'd be fairly happy with that grouping and I'd say I'd be consistent at that grouping in general. I have done better I have done worse also. But I'd be happy there to start foxing.

What would be the feelings on that thinking.

No problem with that. The rifle shoots fine, just practise from field positions now. Sticks, sling, sitting, kneeling, standing, all sorts.

Went back out tonite to try a few federal and hornady 100grains. I was happy enough I didn't wait as long between shots tonite. The last evening I was out I was waiting a while between shot and eye was getting tired and watery and all the rest. I was useing around 12-14 power on my scope and for the last two groups I went back down to 7 power. Thats nice shooting.
May not win a benchrest competition but all the groups are within an inch.

If you can cosistantly shoot within an inch there won't be a deer or fox in the country safe !!

    Edit.

    I'll amend the above.
    I just measured an inch.
It is exactly the width of a 50cent coin.
All I'll say is God help the deer and foxes

Cheers vizzy. Ill be honest happy enough with the grouping but is be better off puttin them all into the circle. Some groups you can see where I was rushing or wasn't comfortable. But that's only a box of rounds through it aswell. I can shoot but its been consistent is the problem I suppose like every one. There is some very good shooting there but so some shooting that leave a lot to be desired.

More practice for me I suppose ah well she will have to get use to it.
To be fair and ill be honest I'm prob still a little bit nervous so get that out off the way start relaxing and get more confident.
