Ronnie enters the Wuxi Classic

    The first ranking event of the new season The Wuxi Classic begins next week with the qualifiers to be held in Gloucester. It's the first event to feature the new format of all 128 players entering from the first round. The big news though is that world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan has confirmed his entry and will play his first match against Michael Wasley. Last years winner Ricky Walden faces Pankaj Advani whilst an all Ireland clash sees Ken Doherty v Joe Swail.

    Great to see Ronnie back and he has entered the european PTC in Bulgaria too! Hopefully it is not a case of him competing in the events to coincide with sponsors demands (i think he has to play in 10). Nonetheless great to have him back.
    I think the Doherty/Swail match is only a warm up for the big money match at the end of June!! Hahahaha

    Ronnie seems in really good form these days. He has been interacting loads and loads with fans on Twitter and really enthusiastic about snooker. I know he can change like the weather, but I'm delighted to see the man up for getting involved again. I'm fascinated by him and his game.

    We spoke too soon guys, as of this morning on the first day of the Wuxi Ronnie has withdrawn !
