Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Set song as ring tone

Via Setting - set Ring Tone - Store, I downloaded a song to set it as a ring tone. I am unable to set it as a ringtone, only play it.

Is this because I downloaded a song and not a ring tone?

    I've done it before..

Best thing to do is get the song or sound you want..

Use a music file converter..there are millions available and im sure there are plenty of free or "trial versions"

I used a free portable converter by xilisoft. just google "portable xilisoft music converter" or whatever app you want

Convert it to M4A and import into iTunes in the ringtones section and that's you sorted.

Thanks for you reply. I'm aware there are workarounds but considering I paid 79p I was hoping to just set the thing considering I was taken to the store via my iPhone. I have a feeling I've been duped. I've downloaded a song and not a ring tone.

    :-) I've a feeling you've been had alright.

The formats are usually very different.

It should be possible to download that song and modifying the format to m4a

its the only one that works for ringtones on iphone as far as I've ever managed to figure out.

    good luck with it anyway.

I used it earlier to set my fave song as my ringtone, its only 30 seconds long but will do fine for a ringtone!!
