No, and in fairness to him he gave me good notice, he had prior arrangements from weeks ago and he'll be back next week.

In my experience this is the toughest time of the year to keep games stable as people are holidaying, travelling for weddings, repeating/studying for exams and stuff. We're actually doing quite well with the numbers considering that we're a relatively new game comprised mostly of people who don't know each other

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we managed to kick off a second night in late September when CIT and UCC students are back.

Okay I just counted up to see who's showing up so we can get an idea of seeding. I've left out people who've stopped coming in the last 5/6 weeks.

NB: There's now €45 in the kitty folks. We'll build it up a bit more and then we can discuss what we want to do with it.

Cool, saw the 18 pages of this thread and assumed that the location may have changed since the first night. I'm deffo interested in getting involved in the next couple of weeks. Had to move home to the rents so would love to have something else going on.

Also, is everyone pure beast at this? I"m fairly ****e at the football I have to say, great as a keeper though.

Lol, no.

As you can see above we've got quite a few regulars and a couple of people on standby. In the last month or so we've been short players a couple of times so put your name down as interested and we'll see what happens.

There's been talk about kicking off a second night too..

Good stuff. Will need to build fitness, especially with 5 aside. Talks of a second night would be savage. But yeah throw me down as interested, might even be available this week. Will keep an eye on the thread.

Also, what way are the pitches in highfield? Would a pair of ****ty asics work there?

The pitch is very good. But I would always advise against poor footwear. A half decent pair of Astros are only €30-€40 and are far safer.
