Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Rekik, Clichy, García, Yaya Touré, Rusnak, Tévez, Silva, Agüero

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Christensen, Cole; Mikel, Loftus-Cheek; Azpilicueta, Mata, Benayoun; Ba

    Not bad

Load of rubbish, City looking for £2 to watch it on the official site sums the whole thing up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them playing with a beach ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Bit of a shame that it's Azpilicueta starting right wing. Surely there was a youngster that could have been tried there to see how they do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,996 ✭✭✭Duck Soup

Seriously? Throwing Mata into a nothing match like that after the amount of matches he's played? I suppose it's whatever gets the turnstiles clicking, but I'd have said there were enough well-known names on the teamsheets to draw a crowd.

This is madness. Give the players a bit of rest and a holiday!

It's in a baseball stadium too? I'm sure the players have been constantly on the lash in the US too.

    Argh. American coverage is horrendous.

City jersey still rank, as is the Goalkeeper's one.

Baaaaaa 1-0 Chelsea, against the run of play though :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,996 ✭✭✭Duck Soup

I think it's safe to call that a scruffy goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

Sh1te i left Ba out of my FF team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Good play from Mata and Mikel. Well taken by Ba, no doubt he is a threat to any team. Awful by Hart, horrific goalkeeping.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

    Hart :pac:

    Jesus, how useless is Yossi?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

    Awful from Benayoun, very indecisive.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

The referee is handling Ba's frequent loss of balance very well and letting the game flow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

    Azpilicueta penalty master!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,996 ✭✭✭Duck Soup

2-0. Nicely tucked away penalty from Dave.

It's a kickabout. Man City bossing possession.

10,000 people watched the training session for the match yesterday. This game sold out (40,000) in 20 minutes.

I paid that to watch Real Madrid's galacticos train in 2005 in Chicago :o

    Oscar with the third.

Just shows how much money can be made for the big European teams around the world. I'd say a premier league match involving Utd/City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool/Spurs in America or Asia would make serious money for both sides.

    4-3 what a comeback

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

The 4 goals conceded were all so bad, a serious lack of concentration for each. I know it's a post season friendly and I know they'd rather be on a beach somewhere but at 3-0 up that shouldn't happen ever.

Little more than an exhibition game (and I don't necessarily say that because we let a 3 goal lead slip to lose 4-3). Great stuff for the American fans to go home talking about, which I suppose was the outcome the promoters would have wanted.

Not sure what we learnt from it, apart from Chelsea can't even hold onto possession in a end-of-season friendly.

Feckers could've shown some of that fight during the season

Did City "show fight" or did the Chelsea players just not bother after going 3-0 up?

I know which one my money is on. Half them probably thinking about which nightclub to hit up when City were in possession. :P
