I know its probably a big ask but we are trying to decide which county in Ireland to go for the June Bank Holiday weekend. We are looking for somewhere to go which will have nice places to visit with my 23 month old son....nice parks, beaches, adventure centre maybe?
Anyone been anywhere nice lately with their toddler?? Obviously somewhere nice for the adults too!

Haven't been there but how about Kelly's Hotel in Rosslare? It's expensive by all accounts but is designed for families so its supposed to have everything you'd want/need.

Courtown Co. Wexford is always a good bet with little ones. For weather-proofing there's a good indoor swimming pool with a toddler water play area, and there's a playground just next door (waterslide and serious climbing rig for bigger ones), and usually a variety of gentle rides in the harbour area. There's some great gentle walks in the Forest Park's deciduous woods behind the beach north of the town. You're also well placed for even better beaches at Brittas to the north and Kilmuckridge to the south. Travelling about a bit, not too far away there's the medieval town of Ferns, the Wexford wildfowl reserve, and the excellent Avondale House.

We were thinking of going to Druids Glen hotel in Wicklow. Its a family friendly hotel. You would have Enniskerry Gardens, aqua place in Bray, Glendalough, Glenroe farm and loads more places of interest close by. Youc an see more places at http://visitwicklow.ie/category/attractions/

Quality hotel in clonakilty would tick all the boxes. A jungle play centre thing, computer games room, other games room, pool and cinema. Dozen beaches within 10 mins drive etc etc etc.

    Maynooth
We have loads of coffee shops, lovely walks, ducks,a massive play ground and nearby a play centre and a kids farm.
The hotel is called the Glenroyal and does really good deals.

Avon ri in Blessington is lovely for the kids too.

Hidden valley adventure park in wicklow ....we've been going there every year since the eldest was 2 and couldn't recommend it highly enough. there's a big lake where you can bring them out on a kayak and a little area with small bumper boats and a huge playground for all ages.

I'd avoid the druids glen. Was there last year (maybe year before) for a family weekend. Only had a small business room that doubled as a toddler room/cinema for older kids.

Just saw this offer & remembered you posted about it the other day, so thought it may be of interest to you & others:

Thanks for all your suggestions, we are off to Rosslare as I know Wexford has some good outdoor places to go to and pet farms etc.
