    Hi all

I'll apologise first, I'm not in the slight bit technically minded at all.

I just bought a Sony Xperia T today, used, from a reliable source, its a genuine phone.

I've had only iphone smart phones before, so new to android.

The phone is working fine. However when I connect it via usb to my toshiba satellite laptop, its not discoverable in, My Computer, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I have since checked the usb ports and they work. I've checked the usb lead itself and it works.

I have also connected the phone to a friends pc and it shows up on that no problem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    thanks in advance!

    hi refusetolose,

there is no software to install.

it worked fine on my friends pc without installing anything.

well ya it should work without installing anything but might be worth a try to install pc companion

Doesn't something come up on the notification bar saying it's now plugged into a USB port?
Have you tried all available USB ports on the PC? They're not all created equal I find.

I eventually resolved this issue, I went into settings on the phone, then developer options, then I checked the box USB debugging and that worked. Don't know if it was the best solution but it worked!

    Thanks for the input lads.
