Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone tell me is it possible to pay my Ancestry monthly subscription on a month on/ month off basis? Or to put it another way, can I renew a monthly subscription which has lapsed?
I'm guessing by the lack of such an option on their site that the answer is no.:(

Afaik you can. Why couldn't you? Take it out for a month, close it, re-open it a month later, or whenever; sure, why not? And once you open any kind of account with them, your information is retained forever. So if you save entries to your shoebox, or construct a family tree, you can return to it when you want, even if you let an account lapse or expire or close one, then re-open it.

Email them to confirm. I did once and got a very positive reply. It was well within 24 hours too.

Ah, that's good to read. Just thought I'd made a mistake by letting it lapse.
Y'know every time I decide it's time to quit for a while I find another month's work to do. Damn them and their excellent product!:)

Unsubscribing is proving difficult. Just when I think it's time to stop for a bit and take stock along comes some other crumb of information to lure me back into the past...
