Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Price Comparison

So I want to buy a lawn mower and am trying to do a price comparison between Argos and B&Q online. I notice they sell similar but not exactly the same products making it pretty impossible to do a comparison. Likewise if I look at TV's in Power City v's DID, again similar but not exactly the same products. Do they do this on purpose so you can't make a direct price comparison ? Are they in collusion with each other like ? You can't really walk into DID and say this TV is €50 cheaper in Power City and use that as a bargaining tool. I smell a rat .... similar but not exactly the same rats.

yes the big players can put thier own model code or variation of the same model code on some /a lot of thier own appliances and tv's
if they buying in huge quantitys it's easy for them
nowadays you should disregard model numbers and compare the spec of the appliance or tech product
this practise is going on years
