Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I only got to watch the Italy vs Japan game now, it was superb. Japan were class, they way they passed the ball was a joy to watch. Pirlo got out-Pirlo'd by Endo too . Superb freekick for the Okazaki goal and several other brilliant passes.

Tonight, I fear for Tahiti. I hope it will not be too bad though. Spain could score 15 if they wanted, we'll see if they will.

Is that just because of the individual match, or that apply to all games?

All games, you can never do accumulators on a single match/game ie Utd to win and with a -3 handicap or whatever, the closest you get is a scorecast/wincast
    combination.

Thank **** Whelan isnt there tonight

Would it have been better if they faced Spain in their third game? Tahiti would have been more tired and concede more.

But then Spain might already have qualified and not bother their arse.

All games, it is seen as a conflictor bet. You can't bet on 2 outcomes on the 1 match together unless they've specifically packaged it that way ie. wincasts etc and with those bets the accumulated price isn't the same as the price you'll get, because one outcome makes the other more likely etc.

Oh I under stand about certain conflicter bets. But surely just because player A scores doesn't mean that player B and C will/wont score as well. The only conflict bet that I could see there would be betting on A, B, and C to score and spain to win, as you would asume that if all three of them scored, the most likely out come would be a Spain win.

I wasn't trying to do that though. Only predicting that A, B, C, and D would score. I was not including a win/lose/draw/handicap on the same bet.

They might walk off for being too tired.

    Was she breast feeding?

    Guardian preamble
Too often Spain come across as a team of artists with the souls of bureaucrats, extravagantly gifted but somehow joyless and risk-averse. They always impress us; only occasionally do they make the earth move. They need to get n@ked and dirty. Spain's jersey may feature a gold star but the suspicion lingers that underneath they are wearing a pin-stripe suit. A savage massacre of Tahiti would make them a hell of a lot more seemly.

I agree. No mercy, show no mercy!

Why stop scoring? It could come down to goal difference.

Jaysus, that is some "second string team". Both could win the world cup.

You'd think them boys never seen a camera the way they're carrying on.

    WTF? Necklaces!

It would be gas if the Tahiti fans then came down to shake hands with the Spanish bench!

The Tahitians are so gracious. Wonder are they trying to soften the opposition.

Bad form dropping the keeper. Not good for his confidence.

They'll stop at 10, they saw Rekops post.

Can't blame them for milking it. What a great moment for them. Playing in front of 60000 people (equal to 33% of Tahiti's population) against the best team in the world. If it was me I'd be enjoying every minute of it.

Start by giving Spain the ball.. oh my

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

Hope they rot after kicking the ball out. Spain mightn't bother playing until 85 minutes.

I don't see the point in Spain stopping early. If it came to goal difference having a goal difference of +40 would end any chances of them being knocked out

Can't see Spain putting these to the sword, there is no victory in embarrassing a bunch of part-timers, Gear 1 all game and 5-0 max

Strange seeing the Tahitians giving the Spanish daisy chains, the Spanish should at least return the favour and give them some sudocreme.

Goal! Lovely play from Mata and Torres down the left flank, good show of pace from Torres and questionable goalkeeping.

They've had more possession than the majority of Spains opponents so far. Cazorla going very easy on them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,791 ✭✭✭✭JPA

    Brutal from Torres.

We're playing a drinking game where you have to do a shot every time Tahiti gets patronised by a commentator. Work is going to be a struggle tomorrow.
