Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Thoughts?

If Nigeria play anything like they did against Tahiti, hopefully Urugray will beat them. Wont be a goal fest by any means, but should a comfortable win by a goal or two.

As poor as Uruguay have been lately, I think they should have enough to beat a weak Nigeria team (who are missing some of their best players due to problems with the coach I believe).

Uruguay are pretty poor and old. But if they get the ball to Suarez they can score.

Would selfishly love a draw in this game as it would make the Uruguay vs Tahiti game ridiculously interesting,

At the moment wont be able to pay for them, even tho they bring in huge money.

MNS going next year too :( They will only have rugby gaaball and internationals.

They should have kept MNS and at least 1 champions league night. Its not that much.

It's say they'll eventually fork out for the Champions League games. It would be weird not have Giles, Dunphy and Brady to listen to.

    BBC Three

I can't believe that RTE are showing deferred coverage of this game for the sake of a 10 minute news bulletin at 11pm.

RTE have Champions League rights until 2015. I can't see them not renewing after that again.

Uraguay playing a 3412 formation? Strange one

Come on Uruguay! Really don't like Nigeria after that Tahiti game. Hope they get a lesson in how to round a keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

Why don't they at least shown it from the tenth minute on RTE? Anyone with bbc will just watch it there although they may hold our attention by having Brian Kerr on commentary duty.

Bloody commentary is out of sync

Nope. He could donate millions to a charity, and some idiots would claim, he only wants to lure new victims to gnaw them ;)

Guy Mowbray (as camera finds tearful Fan): Poor girl.
Mark Lawrenson: She might be rich.

Guy Mowbray: Wonder what the manager has up his sleeve.
    Mark Lawrenson: His shirt?

Surely RTE could just cut out the half time analysis and bring the second half live.

For a second there I was like how the **** is it the 2nd half already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,968 ✭✭✭aindriu80

yeah they have delayed the first half and broadcast the second half live in a few games now. Can't complain as its only confederations cup. HD makes up for it.
