Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Missed the first 20 minutes, been scrappy as hell from what I've seen. Very little flow to the game.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Where you watching that Irish-Stew?

I'm not sure I can think of two more culturally opposing nations. Hungary and the Vatican maybe?

Has any player come from nowhere and had such a meteoric rise in such a short time?

    Andrei Arshavin?

He'd won titles and European cups with Zenit and he never reached the level he could have so nope.

The only European Cup he won was in his Euro 2008 breakout season. He won 1 league, the previous season. He won feck all between 2000-2007.

If Diamanti keeps playing like that he'll end up at Milan cause his price will drop that low.
Offside for the Goal but i'm glad Dante got the advantage, would like to see him start for them. The attackers have all been a let down, Neymar seems to just throw himself to the ground when the going gets tough.

Dante had a couple of good seasons with Monchengladbach before he joined Bayern. The season prior to his move he was fantastic, by all accounts.

The odd thing about him is that he's turning 30 this year so its been a fairly late rise to the top for him.

Fred should not be starting for Brazil.

Abbiati is playing for Italy, I wonder does he know Edwin Cavani?

The only thing that rose was the stature of the team he was playing for. He has always been a beast.

His hair is still the best thing about him, it looks SO FLUFFY.

Japanese TV is making their commentators wear suits, the poor ba*tards.

Lucky the Japan & Mexico game is meaningless . It's over 4 mins ahead of the Brazil vs Italy game .

Nice assist by the black Diaz brother.
    Neymar loves the grass again.

Neymar is such a talented player but I wish he would stop diving all the time, it's ridiculous. If they get away with it now they'll do it throughout the world cup.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,536 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

    Fecking hell Neymar. Pure class!

Neymar keeps silencing the doubters, great free kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Thats what I hope Neymar loses out of his game as he develops, the Ashley Young style diving.

From the bad to the good. Questions on Buffon though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,809 ✭✭✭Rezident

hah! what a goal. Stick to that!
