Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in the 'dodgy by Buffon' camp myself, nearly let that slip in

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Pirlo will hardly have the balls to do another ding in the peno's will he?
I'll say he'll just slot it away

Tbf Balotelli has been sorely missed and will be in the shootout too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,365 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Chiellini can barely kick the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Does Pirlo dare go for a Panenka if we have pens?

    Martinez with the strikers instinct.

Two best 'Keepers of the last 30 years up against each other here.

Buffon is the best I've ever seen and Iker isn't far off him.

Could be one of them to win it.

Penalties - the thing you both love and hate!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,061 ✭✭✭keith16

My 5 Leno takers for Italy

    Pirlo * 4

And hopefully Pirlo to take the crucial 5th

    Italy to win 5-0

Even for a 0-0 I thought it was a great game. That's (possibly) two tournaments in a row where Italy v Spain has served up the best game of the tournament imho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,365 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Chiellini, considering he could barely walk, defended quite incredibly during that last Spain counter attack.

    penalties is more than fair.

Italy better in 90, Spain dominated in extra time.

All eyes on Pirlo for the shootout.

and the move afterwards. All it needed was a goal and it would have been something beautiful.

Spain so much better in extra time, the only team looking for a winner. Martinez probably should have scored at the very end.

Penalties really are a lottery, I'd love for Spain to win it, they've comeback after a poor showing and showed the conviction and class that has defined this generation of Spanish players.

I really hope Italy win it. They've showed a lot of bottle to hang in there for 120 minutes. That bottle will see them through penos.

    Buffon is a class act
