Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spain have shat the bed. Rejoice

Theyve won 3 major tournaments and got to the semi and final of the last two confeds so the only thing that has been found out about them is that they are human after all. This could be the kick up the arse they need for next years world cup

Good to see this Spain team getting battered.

I genuinely don't get this attitude.
There is no formation/tactic/method in football that guarantees victory, everything can be beaten.
That doesn't make what Spain do a nonsense or a joke.

    I'm fully aware of that.

Tonight Brazil are making a mockery of it though.

Cost the 3rd goal by shooting up out of the line and missing his tackle.

    Headbanger

He got a goal back for Reál when they were playing against B.Dortmund but having another bite of the apple is hilarious.

Pedro's miss was the turning point of the game really. There will be claims that Spain are finished and people will never learn..

Ah, Spain will be ok when they get Messi back....oh wait,ya, hang on a minute ...

Er, are you talking about Rugby?!

Ramos certainly is a headbanger, I'll give you that.

Whats your point? I never mentioned anything about them being found out but whilst we are on the subject, no plan b just like Barca.

It doesn't change the fact they have imploded tonight and its bloody good entertainment.

Gustavo is so calm and composed. I'd like to think that he'll light up a cigar with ten minutes to go and knock a few passes down the flanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Even Xavi throwing himself to the ground now.

I even thought Brazil wouldnt work quite as hard as Italy did, theyve worked their proverbials off. Even bloody Hulk is running.

Aside from Cesc and Alonso, next years world cup the likes of Isco will come into contention. Brazil sprung from the long grass and ambushed a tired Spain tonight. Next time though Spain will be ready for them although i think Germany will be strong enough to beat either and Italy will improve in the next year

One thing about neymar, with his diving and moaning he'll fit right in at barca

It's probably a good thing for Spain that they're losing like this. They look like a team with no plan b and perhaps will develop one after this game in preparation for next summer.

pique one of the most over rated defenders around

Yet again he's found out tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,208 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

    Well, Shakira won't like that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

Red, very harsh imo, never a goalscoring opportunity and he wasn't the last man.

edit: Professional foul, makes sense then.

Pique sent off. Not sure about that.

    Bizarre.

Watch the replay, was in a flat back 4 , charged out unnecessarily, mistimed it and got left stranded leaving brazil one short.

If you are gonna commit, dont throw yourself into a tackle, close down space and keep yourself in the game.

    Never mind.

Pique is nothing without that big bastard of a defender Puyol beside him.

Was always going to happen one of the centre backs. Whatever about the diving, Neymar has been legally unstoppable.

Sergio Busquets is enough for me to hate an entire nation, and all who dwell within it.

Neymar is just such a great player, thankfully Barcelona signed him before this tournament, otherwise he may have cost a bit more than he did.

Professional foul. A lost decision by refs these days. Its all 'last man or 'goal scoring opportunity' etc. Glad to see it happen.

Whoa this is becoming a horror show for Spain. Neymar acting like a dick again on the ground  I actually hate to see him do well. The quicker he hits hard times the better

They bore some to tears with their football. When they play a minnow it looks great as they just dance around them but against a side that can defend its like watching paint dry. They don't change tactics either when its not working, no plan b and they resort to diving like submarines and surrounding the refs. Football played in the right way me arse, they are really sore losers too.

Glad Piques gone, they should be down to eight men by now. I hope Brazil grab another 3 goals.

It really is amazing to see so many people writing off spain on the basis of one bad game.

They have by far the best squad in the world and are still heavy favourites for the World Cup next year.

    Shocking from Pique

But que the hype machine to go into overdive tomorrow regards Brazil and the hyperbole of how Spanish football is in crisis.
