Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lawerson has to be the worst "commentator" in the game, he is like a parody of himself.

This is getting easy, 2-0 now.

I'd love to see Spain v Germany next year in a quarter or semi final match. Be very interesting to see if Spain could completely negate them like they're doing Uruguay here.

you could easily see Spain with many of the same pretty patterns, and even some of the same chances created.

Germany are technically at a similar level to Spain though, so they'd use the ball an awful lot better.

a beauty now from Soldado. stupid CBs both attracted to the ball.

    Great play

Goal! Goal! Goal! Spain 2-0, the vision, composure and sheer class of Fabregas to find Soldado who provides the killer finish. Football as it was meant to be from Spain in this half.

Waiting for andersonisgod to give us his analysis before I head for a shower :pac:

    Terrible ball watching.

Suarez's Spanish audition not going too well. Good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,365 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

lovely by Cesc, but that defending was a joke. the defenders should be pilloried for that lack of communication. either Pereira should move up or one/both of the CBs drop to cover Soldado.

    amateur stuff there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

From watching this first half so far there is no way Barcelona in their right mind will be selling Fabregas this summer. He has been absolutely class.

(if they are I do hope the reports of Arsenal having first refusal are accurate!!!)

He missed a great run by Pedro. Could have played him in first time, made up for it though!

We'd get beaten by all three of them tbh.

Uruguay are on the verge of boiling ever here. Can't say I'd blame them either.

Jesus that lad commentating on espn, Darke i think deserves to have a bullet put in him.

If he refers one more time to Spain not taking short corners tonight, ****ing horrendous stuff

Brian Kerr doing the commentary on rte, a very nice bonus to late viewers.

Like I said, football as it should be. I have no words to sum up that half, such was the brilliance, the all round brilliance of every aspect of the game. A reminder that we are watching, probably, the best international team ever, maybe the greatest team ever.

Eh if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have known Soldado has scored 18 appearances.

Having seen Japan last night and Mexico and Uruguay tonight, none of them are any great shakes. Also Tahiti and Nigeria are probably only average.

If there was another mickey mouse cup winner and Ireland,FIFA could have made it a 10 team tournament and we could have been the fourth best team.:)
