Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very very sad, quite an experienced rider. Gonna put a shadow over the event and all the nay sayers against road racing will be out in force.

    R.I.P.

    Taken from the TT website:

ACU Events Ltd regrets to announce that Japanese rider Yoshinari Matsu.shi.ta, 43, was killed during the qualifying session at the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races in an incident at Ballacrye in the North of the Island. The session was immediately red flagged following the accident.

Yoshinari, from Saitama in Japan was an experienced racer who first competed at the TT Races in 2009. As well as competing regularly in the Superstock and Superbike classes he also finished 5th in the 2011 TT Zero for electric bikes. He was also 2008 Motegi Endurance race winner.

Was listening to commentary last night and you always get that sinking when you hear the red flags come out.

RIP to Yoshi, and condolences to his family and friends.

On a side note I wonder would it be possible for the mods to remove the **** from name in the op, I presume they are there as a default setting.

Would not be surprised if the Tyco Team pull out of the event altogether as a mark of respect...

R.I.P Matsu****a very sad news :( I reckon Tyco Suzuki (TAS) will continue on with the IOMTT as they did in 2003 when David Jeffries was killed, can't believe it's 10 years tomorrow!

Please also spare a thought for the bikers who sadly die over at the TT aswell.

Quite possibly more bikers than actual TT competitors will be killed during the IOM TT festival.
