I seen it a few nights ago and it sucked, the only thing i liked was the car chase ,when they where doing then final chase the stunts looked very bad,and bad script aswell. Its by FAR the weakest of them all!

The incoherent plot, poor set pieces, lousy villain*(almost a staple of the series) Cruise's hair and the bizarre misogyny throughout really should have killed the franchise. Also, Limp Bizkit theme... shudders.

*can you believe they wanted him over Jackman for Wolverine. Also, Vincent D'Onorio.

i thought this was a good bit of craic.

liked the way they ripped the piss out of all the colatteral damage in the previous films at the senate hearing.

im not a huge fan of the series but theyre good solid entertainment and i cant really complain about anything in em. dont think this one is as good as ghost protocol, but still a good time can be had at it.

    7/10 from me.

It's great to see that Simon Foster got a promotion after the Climbing the Mountain of Conflict sillyness.

Apparently he's going to start in a new spin-off franchise - Mission: Difficult Difficult Lemon Difficult

Amazing. I'm laughing my ass off. During the final act, that's all I kept thinking!

My only criticism was the BMW product placement. They were everywhere. Anytime someone steals a car it happens just to be a Beemer. At the end when Rebecca Ferguson drover away I found myself wondering how she had time to ensure her 6 series was there just at the right place and time. That being said they did wreck a 3 series which was not someting I'd have thought the people from Munich would have allowed be shown. Such is the way of thw world now where product placement is rampant. I guess I better get used to it.

I don't think they were all stolen, sure the one in Morocco was programmed to their hand print.

And the one at the end was the one Hunt drove there.

Regardless of anything else, that scene with him hanging on to the plane was one of the most seat gripping things in a long time. Made crazier by the fact that he actually did it. Sure, on a harness, but he was on the muddafookin' outside of a plane taking off.

    First half; okay.

Second half; forced comedy jokes in an action flick. No longer an action flick. Now a bad comedy.

    Ending; Meh.

I really liked the water bit, and the chase scenes (although this was annoyingly spoiled for me during an IMAX trailer for Ant Man)

Rest of the film is ok.

Would have it the 4th best of the franchise. The second being the standout worse

Really enjoyed it last night, aside from the nasty and pointless CGI of the backwards rolling beemer.
Baldwin was very good, especially in that final act.
And they are gearing up for the next one, can't wait.

thought the motorway bike scene was amazing - the sense of speed was the best I have seen from such a scene. Best set piece in the movie, and one of the best I have seen ever I reckon. A lot of other chase scenes are supposed to look quick, but you can tell they are only going about 30, with some editing. In this one, it felt fecking quick.

I haven't seen the more recent Mission Impossibles but I enjoyed this. Pretty much what I expected - guns, cars, fighting, chasing and unrealistic computer hacking.

In the box at the end, why the feck did the bullets not ricochet and destroy yer man - point fecking blank he fires off a full clip and the bullets appear to disappear

Turned my brain off for a couple of hours today and enjoyed this. Yes, there were crazy plotholes and I'm not sure about the comedy element, it seemed a bit laboured, but overall I enjoyed it.

Spent a good while looking for Rebecca Ferguson from X Factor before I realised she wasn't in it. Was mesmerised by the actual Rebecca Ferguson though - thought she stole the movie. I think she has something of the look of a young Frida from Abba.

Yeh I thought of that as well it looked completely stupid and that's saying something for a Mission Impossible film.

A desperate flaw to have in the film

Ha, when reading the opening credits I was thinking to myself that she's doing well for herself. Odd name for a Swedish lady.

On the bullet and the box thing, don't bullets only ricochet when they hit something at an angle, so not really a flaw? But I noticed myself there were no traces embedded.

I thought this was an excellent instalment in the MI series. Christopher McQuarrie brought a certain poise to proceedings.

The opera sequence was one of the best realised, suspenseful scenes I’ve seen in a film in a long time.

The poster earlier who reckoned that it wasn't cruise hanging from the plane put a doubt in my mind. This doubt was not unconfirmed by that clip. When it comes to actually hanging from the plane in the behind the scenes footage, it's only wide, short shots..............

    I want to believe.

Cruise confirmed in interviews that it was he and that he did it 8 times. Also did all his own driving.

Yeah! I said that straight away...
The only thing I can think of was the substance was built to absorb the bullets, but that's seriously clutching....

Best film in the franchise by a good distance, not one boring bit in it and it laid the action on nice and thick, a perfect summer blockbuster. The best performance from Tom Cruise since the third instalment. Simon Pegg wasn't as annoying. Great to see Ving Rhames back. I think Jeremy Renner is a far better as a side character then leading guy (wasn't he suppose to be taking over the main lead a few years back from Cruise). I thought Sean Harris delivered a very good villain (something aside from part 3 was always the franchise's main flaw). Alex Baldwin was great too.

But Rebecca Ferguson was the real star of the show, a star is born especially someone to give Scarlett Johansson ad Charlize Theron a run in the female action stakes. She's definitely been given a far stronger female role by Christopher McQuarrie then any other female lead in the franchise, I loved that
She wasn't a romantic foil for Cruise
and that she could handle herself. Fingers crossed she's apart of the team if they make more films.

A great action film, with Cruise outdoing himself once again in the stunt department. Along with Mad Max Fury Road, the best blockbuster this year.

Pretty sure that's how bullet proof glass is supposed to work, the bullets embed within it I thought.

Great installment in the franchise. Rebecca Ferguson was really good, her character reminded me alot of Vespers in Casino Royale. The MI series has had a lot of actresses that can kick arse but she has been by far the best in acting ability too. Any word on how many more MI films Cruise is going to be in?

A sixth is in the works and he doesn't show any sign of stopping. In fairness he seems to be the engine in the MI train, I think when he eventually does stop they'll find it difficult to get it going again.

Very much enjoyed this film after seeing it in the Imax. Up there with Ghost Protocol and the first Mission Impossible in terms of enjoyment.

I did enjoy the thought that Tom Hollander's character was the same one as in "In The Loop".

Hah, I had the same issue with Alec Baldwin as I could only see him as Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock.

This disappointed on many levels. A very weak installment I thought.

Mission Impossible 3 is the only really essential must see film of this franchise IMHO and I cant see it been topped any time soon.

I enjoyed Ghost Protocol, I enjoyed this too, 3 was pretty much the pinnacle though
