Hi all. Looking for some advice. There is a group of us heading to cork for a stag in July. We are all close to 30 years of age so no teenage bars. We all enjoy our craft beers and a nice selection of various whiskeys. We are looking for a range of pubs to satisfy our needs. The pubs need a good selection of beers and a good size of a beer garden. We are also staying close to the train station.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The Beoir App will come in handy, as will the Directory on their website. Off me head though, The Bierhaus, Porterhouse, Franciscan Well, Abbotts are all great. Never been to the Hub, but that's supposedly another craft spot. Porterhouse can have a slight student vibe to it sometimes, but generally it's ok for that.

Edit: As for whiskeys, I think the only one of the above without a specialist selection is the Franciscan Well. Again, I can't speak for The Hub.

The Franciscan Well is the best place for craft beer and a beer garden. No whiskeys though.
The Bierhaus is decent for craft beer and whiskey. It has a couple of tables on the street outside and its own restaurant next door, the Bierhalle.
The Abbot's Ale House is probably the best for whiskey (and my favourite for beer.) It's tiny, there's no beer garden or outside tables. It has an off license on the ground floor and the pub is above it.

These three are all in line about 5 to 15 minutes from where you'll be staying.

The Porterhouse serves the Porterhouse beers and others on bottles. It is a bit studenty and popular at times. (The other places are busy but would be less of a "popular" spot.)
The Hub is a craft bar a bit out of the way and in a quiet part of town. I've only been in there a few times and I've never seen it busy. It's a grand spot if you want a quiet drink to start the day. It has a beer garden but it's built up around it.
The Crane Lane is a late bar that gets very busy but it has a few good beers on tap and bottle. You won't find many craft beer people there but they do serve it. If you plan on making a late night of it you'd need to get there about 10.30 to find a table in the smoking area. There's usually live music on there during the week at midnight. DJ at the weekend with live music beforehand sometimes.

All these pubs bar The Crane Lane would be considered craft beer pubs. The first three I mentioned would be the most traditional craft beer places.

Most pubs have "craft" beers at this stage in fairness. The best option imo for a stag is The Porterhouse. You have the Woolshed next door to that so you kind of have the best of both worlds.

The Fran Well in Summer is full of dirty fordiners tourists taking up tables and have 1 drink between 6 of them.

The Bierhaus is a grand spot also.

In Fairness most pubs in the City have a few craft beers on tap,Try any of Benny's pubs (Crane Lane,Vicarstown,Sín é,Mutton Lane,The Oval) they will have MiDaza Stout,SunBeam Pilsner & Crean's Lager,Most other bars will have the Molson Coors "craft" range. Shandon Stout,Rebel Red,Blarney Blonde.

My call would be The Vicarstown Inn,Fairly central,Good range of Craft Beer,Great range of Whiskey's a late license & an awesome Beer Garden

Why have you marked Molson Coors "craft" in inverted commas like that? Their beers are brewed by the same people as Benny's.

thank you for your replies. last question regarding the stag which happens in a stag, As we are at a certain age group that plays old skool dance music back from early 00's and before that. We don't want any club with the latest tunes!!!
