can you get a J1 visa after doing a Masters?

Can anyone tell me is it possible to get a J1 Intern/Trainee visa to the U.S for 12 months after you have completed a Post Graduate course? I will be doing a MA in (Fine)ART and Process in Cork and then I want to travel to New York. If anyone has any experience with this can they please let me know?

Shouldn't be a problem. The criteria for qualifying for the J1 intern/trainee program are listed here:
