the current temp at Dublin Airport is only 7c and I'm 12.9c only a few kms away. I think ME should think of moving their station to a more reliable location.

Yes, for such an important location the station needs to be moved to a location that's more representative of the city as a whole. On clear, calm night the station consistently reports temperatures that are way below the temperatures reported elsewhere.

The station has been showing minimum temps of 4 to 5 degrees at night for the past week when most other places are showing 8 or 9. At the moment the average temp at Dublin Airport is running 2 degrees below the monthly average and is therefore one of the coldest starts to June on record.

Well, it's running 1 degree below normal here, 20 km south of the Airport. My only quibble with the current DA location is that Met Eireann present it as a continuation of the previous location when in fact it inhabits a different climate zone!

Today, another totally cloudless affair, had the highest high of the scorching spell; Max 21.3 Min 6.9

The high was at 12 noon, before the sea breeze kicked in. High noon so to speak

Very pleasantly surprised by the weather today, I am working not too far from Casement today and the sun has been out intermittently very little rain and feeling quite warm in the sun. Judging by all the doom and gloom yesterday I was expecting it to be horrible today:)

Yeah, very little rain here in my part of North Tipp today until about 5.00 pm. Light rain since then.

Got the grass cut which was an unexpected bonus given the forecast.

There were little lumps of hail among the raindrops during a heavy shower here on Dublin's Northside at 2pm today. A friend of mine saw them too. How can that happen on a day that is overcast with showers but basically warm.
