Phillips Deck Phone

Have a Phillips Dec 525 phone and have "muted" my own mobile number so if I have to ring the house, no one hears my call. As I have had several emergencies in the last while, this is intensely frustrating. The instructions are long since gone so has any one any ideas or do I have just buy another phone?
