O2 Shop on Shop Street gone today. Three must not be renewing the lease.

Suppose there's already a three shop on shop street. No need for two within a few metres of each other

Anyone know if the new Burgerking is opened up besides Applegreens yet? And is it a Drive-Thru or regular walk in place?

I thought that idea was dead?

    http://galwaybayfm.ie/applegreen-plans-tuam-road-drive-thru-refused/

EDIT: Nevermind it was just the drive through bit that was blocked, the BK is still going ahead...

It's not beside it, it's physically inside it.

It's supposed to open in the next few days. Looks 100% ready to open, all the stock is in, Burger King/Chopstix ready to go, etc.

I could be completely wrong about this, but I heard someone mention it was going to be a pet grooming parlour?

My info was correct! Pet grooming open next to the Salt House where the beefcake shop was before

    ALL WILL BE REVEALED TOMORROW
That was posted 2 days ago. Walked past it today. NOTHING is inside it. Not even doors. Place is gutted.

Bit of topic, but did the 2 lads ever pay the staff?

The price for diesel was €1.27 today so no difference.

What are the prices like for petrol and diesel like in applegreen? I sure hope it brings some much needed competition for fuel prices in Galway.

Applegreen signs said 126.9 and (I think) 132.9.

'Fraid I don't know how that stacks up, I don't get a car often enough to be watching the prices all the time.

That is 5 cent a litre cheaper than the topaz on the Bohermore roundabout a couple of hundred metres up the road

Cheaper than Monaghans and Flemings too, if only by a cent or two. Good to see.

where exactly is this applegreens? is it between the new tuam rd traffic lights junction and the bohermore roundabout or the other side of the traffic lights junction? I clearly don't know the area very well

Its about half way in between them. If you go from the bohermore roundabout, it'll appear on your left right after you go through the second set of traffic lights at liosbaun/riverside.
