Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend of mine pointed out how there land has been mysteriously being flooded year round even with fine weather out etc for the past 3 years.

one patch marked 1 has never flooded in the 30 years they have owned this land. the noticeable patch marked usually floods in wet weather around winter but never stays year round. She has the land up for sale for the past few years with little interest due to flooding but suspicions are being raised now on the discovery of a trench which has been dug from neighboring land for no apparent reason upto the border of there land. Maybe an act to devalue land or mother nature?? the red border designates the neighboring owners land.

However could it be septic tanks from neighboring houses also.

You would probably get a better response in Farming and forestry.
It's possible that the other landholders attempts to improve drainage has negatively effected your friends land. It could also be that area has been wetter in general the last few few years and the trench is just a symptom of it rather than the cause. Either way it's unlikely that it was done with any malice. What's the terrain like?

its not a open trench as such. its where ground has been dug up and refilled back in. It doesnt make sense to improve drainage on there land as it never flooded and i cant see why they would have disrupted the ground were the trench is marked. The terrain is very good usually year round

You might want to cover the coordinates at the bottom of the picture. Entering them into google will bring you to the location in question.

Just sounds like he put pipe for land drainage down or something to that effect.

The water marks on the other guys field say different. It also wouldn't have to have to be underwater for it to be land that could be improved by drainage.

Don't forget also that there has been some very wet times over the last few years, last summer was one of the wettest on record.
