When you're the size of the Great Khali, you can't help but have some charisma.

yeah he just doesn't have the kindve 'menacing big hardy cnut' that he should have, probably down to bad booking, maybe some matches against someone other than ziggler might change that a bit though!

so Nancy Benoit's sister is going to be on Talk is Jericho this week.
I can't imagine Vince is too happy about a member of the active roster talking so openly about Krispin.

Oh it's his sister ? I saw benoits name mentioned in a tweet but didn't think it involved his family. Yeah I'd say raw on Monday might be akward. I pressume Jericho will have a disclaimer of some kind.

20 years you say.... F*ck that makes me feel old.

20 years - jesus. All that time frame still seems so fresh to me. Just as entertaining today as it was back then too. Crazy to think Austin is 13 years retired too.

It's clicked with me why Nancy's sister is on today as the 24th of June is the nine year anniversary of those tragic events.

Nine years. I can't believe it's nine years. I remember it being announced on WWE.com and then Vince standing in an empty arena and saying that they don't know the circumstances.

And to this day William regal's reaction on his tribute video haunts me as in hindsight he seems to have known something.

I'm nearly an hour into the podcast about the Benoit tragedy. Nancy's sister is coming across very well to be fair to her.

It's still horrible to hear it. I couldn't believe it's nine years.

I did see it on the WWE website. I remember being shocked and in 2007 raw hadn't long gone live on Skysports IIRC and I did watch the start live as it was a three hour show due to the mr McMahon death angle.

Hearing Nancy's sister talk about the whole thing is horrible.

Every time I hear that Seven Nation Army thing at the Euros, all I can think about is the crowd chanting for Enzo Amore :pac:

Big Cass (S-A-W-F-T) always reminds me of Tom Cullen (M-O-O-N) from Stephen King's The Stand.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,181 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Think Cass is suffering badly from them trying to make him cool to kids, or something along those lines. He just comes across really goofy.

Let Enzo do the talking and Cass do the crushing and don't split them up until Cass can handle the mic better.

Won't be long until the intro is "My name is Colin Cassady and I'm 7 feet tall and a bona fide stud and you can't teach that. And this right here, this is Zo and he's a certified G and you can't teach that!"

Admittedly I wasn't a big fan of Batista when he returned a few years ago but i've actually softened up on him now. Looking back now I kind've feel bad for how the fans treated him at the time, but it was just poor timing I think because WWE's hottest stars were CM Punk and Daniel Bryan and everyone wanted to see them win the Rumble and Main Event Wrestlmania. People thought that Batista shouldn't have won the Rumble, and they didn't like that he was pushed into it so quickly after his debut.

Anyway I just read an interview that Batista did about his return and it's very enlightening. Feel bad for what he had to put up with behind the scenes. Especially when he said HHH and Stephanie didn't think Guardians of the Galaxy wouldn't do well in the box office. What planet are they living on?

Here's a summary of what Batista said.
1.His return wasn't good from the very beginning. They wanted him to come back as a babyface where he wanted to return as a heel.

2.Wishes he could've been in better shape for wrestling. He had an achilles tendon injury. He also stayed away from weights and vigorous workouts because he was trying to conform to being an actor so he was trying to get away from that muscle-bound look.

3.He argued with Vince and creative everyday he was there.

4.He felt super unsatisfied with his return. Says it broke his heart because he had been thinking about his return for years. When he left, he wanted to come back and do SummerSlam, around the time Guardians was coming out. He talked to Steph and Hunter about doing SummerSlam because Guardians would be the #1 film at the box office. They kinda had a snickered and went "Yea, we don't even know if the movie is gonna be any good."

5.He says they told Daniel Bryan not to sell all of his injuries at Mania and kinda buried the **** out of them. Pissed him off and hated that Shield split up literally the night after making them look like a million dollars. Says that they should've had Shield continue their run with The Wyatts until everyone was sick of seeing them.

6.It also pissed him off that after trying to make SHIELD look like a million bucks, the only thing everyone was saying was "Batista wore blue, whatta asshole."

7.Says he and Dolph had kick ass matches that the fans missed out on because they were too busy chanting "CM PUNK! BLUETISTA! BOOTISTA!" Says it really hurt his feelings.

8.Says it was trendy booing him. Felt like a personal attack. He didn't ask for a lot of money and never said he won't do house shows and not put people over. He was really confused by how the crowd was acting.

9.He says he struggled early in his career so hard with promos because people wrote stuff for him instead of bullet points. He was always a shy person and public speaking was terrifying to him. He would go up to Vince or Hayes and asked what point they wanted to get across and then winged it and thats when he got good.

10.He noticed that when WWE films started, John Cena was receiving movie roles and not him. He asked if there was any opportunity for him to act in WWE films and they showed no interest. He then decided to go outside the company and audition and the answer was "You are our property. Get dressed and get to work." He just felt it was unfair to him career-wise and financially and he wasn't content with that and gave them a year's notice.

11.On his last day with WWE, when he left the first time, it put everything in perceptive. Few people said goodbye and thank you to him. Then security escorted him out of the door. No keep in touch or see you later. He left there with a broken back on his last match with Cena.

Him coming back as heel would have made more sense I think, given how he left. By the way, I loved his heel run at the end of his previous run, particularly how it started with him absolutely demolishing Rey Mysterio :D

I think he makes some very good points, particularly with the making the Shield look good stuff. Evolution did that well, and they had some pretty incredible matches, but the focussing on "Bluetista" was kinda annoying. I do also understand being frustrated at splitting up the Shield immediately after putting them over, though I guess I kinda understand why WWE would do that, wanting to put the MITB briefcase on Seth.

I really do wish that run could have gone better.

Of the things he's said that we'd know about, I can't fault one point he's made on that list. WWE doesn't deserve Batista. He seems a stand-up, talented guy with a lot to offer and it just goes to show how that can all get swallowed up in the WWE machine at times.

On the whole Batista thing and him wanting to do Summerslam around the time of Guardians being released, and Stephanie & Hunter saying about Guardians Of The Galaxy "Yea, we don't even know if the movie is gonna be any good."

Boy they got it so wrong about the movie..

I was looking forward to Batista's return, Bryan not winning the Rumble was a joke at the time. What annoyed me was the fact he was gassed after about 3 mins in his matches after that. Seemed he was only back to promote the movie in the first place, he tanked so bad I'm glad he didn't come back for Summerslam. Good luck to him with his movie career.

It was at the time, but in hindsight I'd have to say it worked out amazingly well when they changed the plans for him. Wouldn't have been nearly as satisfying if he had a guaranteed title shot at Mania, rather than being screwed week in week out and having to beat Triple H to get that shot the same night.

Batista finally turning heel made that story so much better, it's only a shame they didn't work it out from the start because they might've topped it somehow.

Yes, forgot about her. She looks much different in ROH than in TNA. Vampish look suits her and has a terrific rack. Black Flair knows how to pick 'em.
