Ministry of Darkness undertaker was my favourite version of the undertaker.

This is a stinker of a promo tho

Ah we all have off days.

On top of what Lee said, 5-Star undercut PCW (a decent promotion who’ve spent years building themselves up) to get that spot. Glad it sounds like it’s going tits up. Getting TV without a plan is just another huge thing to stress about, though, as I’m sure they’ll find out.

I'm currently re-watching the 1997 Raws and the start of the Bret Hart Heel turn from Jan-March is fantastic booking to see.

So many subtle winks, nods and dogs by the hitman and his building frustration of being screwed out of the WWF Championship all works perfectly.

It's one of those occasions where a heel turn is completely logically and serves a purpose, not a heel turn for the sake of it.

    This is brilliant.

Cena as united, Liverpool as Flair and Bryan as Leicester are all spot on.

The Seth/Arsenal one is very spot on as well.

Nakamura Rumble winner, Asuka Rumble winner, Kairi Sane Mae Young Classic winner.

Is this the WWE showing that NJPW is competition for them by putting their Japanese talent front and centre?

Just been thinking about scoops in wrestling and how they seem to not as prevalant as before meltzer sources has been drying up for years except a few obivious ones like bucks and jericho and satin the last few months havent has any i can think of. Pwinsider much the same.

The spoilers seem to be only breaking the day of events. So are people just not talking as much these days or just stuff is changing too rapidly to keep up.

Im rewatching 2004 raws and I'm remembering how good the hhh vs HBK match on the last raw of 2003 to the the rumble of 2004 is. Also Randy orton as IC Champ and Batista and ric as tag team champs is great. I hated it at the time but in hindsight I'm liking the promos.

The scoops are definitely out there. I think its just a matter of who you believe. Like you said Dave and Alvarez rarely know anything ahead of time anymore and alot of their stuff nowadays is guess work and stating the obvious.

He's not popular around these parts but Rovert is normally bang on the money with his news I find. He can be a bit cryptic but I find his hit rate his incredibly high.

For womens wrestling and WWE tryout scoops Casey Michael is the man. Dude knows so much and is always ahead of the pack on who is getting tryouts.

This video is brilliant and I'd sell organs to be left walk around this warehouse for a few hours. This video makes me excited.

you could sell that stuff for so much money, so much history in one space

They surely have tinkered with the idea of a bricks and mortar hall of fame. It would be something truly special if they went all in.

It’d be class, no doubt, and something we’d all go to if we were in the part of the world that it was...but where do you put it? Close to their HQ in Conneticut? Nobody goes to Conneticut. New York, their spiritual home and close to CT? It’s probably their best bet, but they’ve already had a centralised hub in NYC fail at a time when they had many more fans. Somewhere touristy like LA? You’re more likely to get tourists who are fans, but nobody travels to LA for wrestling unless something is on. Would they even be able to make rent on a regular basis? It’s just a ****ty thing with wrestling being nomadic by nature: there’s no natural home and it’s not like the NFL/NBA where it’s ubiquitously popular althroughout the US. They have hotbeds and pockets and a lot of their following is international, but it was only through TV/PPV that wrestling became more than a niche, regional interest.

They have the performance center in Florida, maybe near all the big theme parks, even go the TNA route and partner up with one of them

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,853 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Florida would be a great shout. A deal destination, the home of NXT and a massive amount of former pros are based in Tampa/Orlando.

I opened up this thread and saw Florida would be a great shout and thought oh god, not him doing another boring performance again!!!

But then I see thankfully its about the place and nothing to do with him :pac:

If they could connect it with PC and continued to offer a tourist option there as they have been, that could definitely be a fix. As long as it doesn’t have to fully pay for itself it’d work and, like I said, it’d be something I’d definitely go to.

Sasha Banks' theme is missing a bit at the start

It's something I always thought I heard but put it down to me, but I was rewatching some old NXT there and I was right. That little beat at the start, on the main roster it sort of starts half way through, if you hear it on NXT or on Spotify you'll hear the proper intro

    Defo done with WWE now

Titantrons are pretty bland now. Seems to be just the wrestlers name and that's it for most of them.

I remember thinking Hollywood Rock's was great.

I think it's needed as a lot of the songs, you wouldn't be able to tell who it is. Like what's Big Cass's theme? :pac: There's a few outstanding CFO$ themes but you're talking maybe 50 songs played a week, it all gets blended so ya gotta make sure people know who's who. Maybe poor musical hooks is the problem.

Wait until they insert a sample of Cole saying “it’s Boss time!”

I remember the days when one of the best parts of buying a Smackdown game was being able to watch the titantrons and listen to the themes

On the subject of theme tunes I’m all over Aleister Black’s these days. Suits his character down to the ground.

Fcuking love his theme, and I’m not a metal guy in the least. Everything about him is great though, need to get him on Smackdown ASAP. Black vs. Nakamura has match of the year potential.

Just reading an article about an oil spil in the east china sea and they quoted a marine conservation specialist called Rick Steiner, I just couldn't take what I was reading after that seriously and had to stop. Wrestling affects you in odd ways.

The live entrance he got at one of the previous Takeovers was amazing!

Was thinking about this, but given that we know they work for the WWE, why do the talent have to have a reference to the WWE in their usernames on Social media, twitter for example, just off the top of my head, Seth Rollins - @WWERollins, Daniel Bryan @WWEDanielBryan, Bayley @itsBayleyWWE

Are they contractually obligated to include a WWE reference in all their social media pages, or can they do as they please?

That's my really random wrasslin thought for the day.
