Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This Brazil team are poor, but they're absolutely killing England. England are terrible.

    Oscar is a brilliant player.

Is UTV poor quality for anyone else or is it just mine?

    Oscar is a brilliant player.

Agreed, and he's likely to get better. Chelsea's trio of Oscar, Mata and Hazard is incredible.

Why is the ball orange :s

I think they picked England as they are the highest profile side they could nearly be guaranteed to beat at home.

ITV sound quality is awful tbh. Crackling sound when the fans start to shout

The teletext-holidays ads on the hoardings: "Want to get away like Wayne?" :D

Someone needs to tell Neymar that it's ok to pass the ball, especially before he signs for Barcelona.

England picked Brazil. 150th birthday of the FA and all that. Brazil never lose at home and would probably beat most European sides there.

Jesus Christ, how is this 0-0????

If it was out on the left i'd say shades of John Mullane.

Two relatively poor sides. Better see the prophet in the second half.

England have been holding the ball a little better the last few minutes.

If England could pass a ball they'd actually be winning! (yes if Brazil shot a bit straighter they'd also be winning) The pitch seems a bit bobbly no surprise about that I guess.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Impressive performance from Oscar, such an effortlessly classy player. He has everything to his game, technically proficient, great decision making and can go past a player if needed, the best player on the pitch in the first half.

England content to stick everyone behind the ball, 10 men inside their own half making it difficult for Brazil to play through them. The lack of a top quality number 9 is an issue but they really could do with a bit more quality on the ball in midfield over Gustavo and Paulinho if they ate going to play through sides.

Spain and Germany are a class above anyone else. As mediocre as Brazil are, I'm sure they'd fancy themselves at home against any other European side.

england have gone further backwards under hodgson . they are truly awful .

Italy and Uruguay are both far better than Brazil. I wouldn't be shocked to see them go out in the groups depending on the draw they get tbh. They are painfully average.

I'd rate Italy, Colombia, Argentina and Holland above them too. I'd add France and Uruguay to them if they get their act together. They are a fair average Brazil team, who'll probably need a decision or two next summer.

This game is there for England if they grab the bull by the horns. No suprise that Brazil are 19 in the rankings. Also,I have England backed to win.

Uruguay have been pretty poor since the copa, a lot of their stars are now ageing, excellent front two but not a great 11 anymore. Columbia are the emerging force from South America currently.

Boom Hernanes now on, really needed some creativity in there.

With Sandro back they'll be decent.

If somehow they manage to find a top class striker between now and the World Cup I'd fancy them to be in the final. I doubt they will though :P

    SANDRO?
Are they going to play more defensive midfielders, he's hardly a Pirlo in the difference maker terms.
Is pato dead or doing terrible at corinthians.
    Freddy fingers Roy.

Yeah he is a big difference IMO, him and Gustavo will give Oscar, Hulk, Neymar and Pato licence to get forward and score goals.

That's in theory though it's another thing them actually doing this.

They have had a licence to get forward all nite, England are sitting back and Brazil still needed a technical player like Hernanes to take a pop.
Pato would need to hear that he is needed as he didn't seem arsed at Milan for the last year.

Doesn't look a team player at all, hard to see how he'll fit in at Barca.
