Small van conversion: new rules?

    Hi,

    I've had a look through the threads and read a bit, but i have some confusion with the new rules. Basically what i want to do is buy a small van and convert it to a camper. I know it needs sleeping, cooking, storage and a table at the minimum. I read that if its a new van it needs to be a professional conversion? If so does any one anyone reasonable in the west. We want to do the bare minimum this year and improve on it over the coming year or two.

    Also, how do you go about registering it as a camper with the tax office? What is needed, DOE and engineers report?
