Is this motherboard compatible with these 7.1 headphones?

Sorry about this. Not tech savvy at all. But I'm wondering if this motherboard:

(Note: it says "Audio: VIA VT2021 codec High Definition Audio 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel w/ Support for S/PDIF Out")

Or would I need to buy a soundcard? (Or does this motherboard already have a soundcard?)

I'm guessing you already have the board but not the headphones?

Looks like they would be. You would connect to the set of analogue 3.5mm audio jack connectors.

Quality of the some of the VIA chips apparently aren't that great so you could get a sound card if you found it to be not up to your expectations.

As for whether it's a good choice of headphones, I can not say. You can get headphones which use the single optical connector instead of the set of analogue ones, or others come with built in sound hardware.
