Was thinking of fishing the canal at Oldbridge outside Drogheda. Anyone fished it before? Is there anything to be caught? Any advice on bait?

Can be tricky at times but well worth it. like any canal the fish can move up and down so sometimes it can be tricky. Caught a few nice specimens in it over the past couple of years. Leave the place as you found it though as the local angling clubs now watch it very closely due to to poaching in the past. It's a great canal and sure as hell we want to keep it that way ;)
