SOB has been very impressive, Bowe, Heaslip and Sexton good.

    Murray and Best not great

BOD should have finished that first time around, didn't back himself for the corner. Awful match, hope Healy's alright but looked bad

He never would have made it,three players closing him down.

SOB and Tipuric have made big statements at 7, the Warburton captaincy issue rearing it's head again

he Bite the Scum Half !!

    he looked full of Protein

Heaslip and SOB by far the best players on the field

    Bowe, North going well too

    Locks have been really quiet

Manu T has impressed me too, seems much more team orientated than he does for England/Leicster

I feel sorry for Healy but biting is unacceptable.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,234 ✭✭✭trouttrout

Time for Corbiseiro. He could end up in the test team. Healy would have been weak enough in scrum. Sad for him though.

No, he would not have been. Healy is a very good scrummager

He took the more sensible option in my opinion, there was a lot of bodies between him and the corner

only reason i'm not cursing best's lineouts totally. don't think blame is fully with him...

Healy is an OK scrummager has poor body position but his strength hides his technical deficiencies. However, hi s play in the loose is up there with the best so will be a big loss to that aspect of play

O'brown has always been able to offload.that's slightly unfair on him!

    Hope Healy hasn't torn ligaments.

Rory Best is showing that his non selection in the initial squad was justified. His throwing is just way too inconsistent. He seems to completely overthrow the ball when his target isn't even been targeted in the lineout. Down to Hibbard and Youngs now. Wallabies will target it in a big way.

Would think Ryan Grant is ahead of him first, no?

Not for me. He's look short of space at 12, and seems to crab sideways. Needs to run a straighter line.

Heaslip has really upped his game since the 6N, looks tailor-made for the grounds in Aussie, I reckon he might well displace Faletau.

someone please tell the commentators that thers's no N in TUILAGI theyre pronouncing it tuilaNgi. i wouldnt mind if they couldnt pronounce the scottish irish or welsh name right but he plays for england youd think they could say it by now. yeah i know he was born in new zealand so hes not technically english:rolleyes:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,234 ✭✭✭trouttrout

Warburton must be ****ting bricks, which in a way isn't even fair on him. Just hope his selection as captain doesn't define the tour

He put a lot of pressure on the Aussie scrum in the World Cup, even if he didn't dominate them he wouldn't have been a weakness

Is that Irish player abuse or any player abuse?

Half the forum should be banned if it's the latter.

If Corbisiero is back to full fitness, and it seems he might be, then I'd have him for sure. If he isn't then Grant or Sheridan I guess are good alternatives.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

So now Sheehan isn't sure if the bite was intentional...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,775 ✭✭✭P.Walnuts

The biting thing looks like rubbish to me, Sheehan put his forearm into Healy's face, even if Healy has a little nibble no way it can be proved deliberate

If Healy has bitten someone he's gonna need to take a ban as well as his injury (and probably after it tbh). I hope that it isn't swept under any rugs either.

Lot of people not happy with how his stamping was handled, if the alleged offence took place he'll be out of the game for 8/12 weeks I imagine (regardless of any injury).

Vunipola with a nice cameo there, he's really growing on me

I'd like to see B Youngs at half-time to see what he can do alongside Sexton.

Think the second-row could up their game a bit, far to pedestrian at times.

Best will get the blame for the poor line-outs but the first one was a poor lift imo. The jumper never really got up for it. Second was a clear over-throw. Feel for him as he's a top player but his darts are really not what they should be.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

I don't think Gatland would think twice about leaving him out. Wasn't the line that nobody is guaranteed to start including the captain?

    Personally I think it's a non-issue.

Sheridan voted best LH in the Top 14. Obvious choice.

    Evans has been very poor

I love the way BOD always seems to get the most out of the players around him. The better the players around him the better he gets.

Yeah, he's not a destructive loosehead in scrum but he won't go backwards which is all that's needed with expansive 15 man gameplan.

However, in open play he is very constructive.

If the Lions captain is dropped it certainly won't be a non issue, in fact I'd suspect it would define the tour

He reminds me of John Afoa. If he can scrum, I'd have him ahead of Jenkins.

Best throwing is the reason he didnt make the squad.

Sheridan has to come in if Healy does have to go (hope not)

SOB have a chance at 6 now? Presuming capt gets fit.

Aussies can be very bad sportsmen at times. But anytime I've read anything about Pocock, it just proves you can't paint everyone with the same brush.

Class act and the ability to match it.
