Ceramic Deep-sided Dog Bowls - Where to get?

Hi - Looking for more help if poss!

As many of you may know, I have a Shih Tzu. He has lovely long ears which when feeding or drinking also have a dip! He's got stainless steel dishes which are nice, but a bit shallow...

I want to get a couple of nice ceramic bowls that have reasonably high sides so that his ears can pass either side of the bowls.

I've found some really nice ones online, but they're £20 each and another £22 to send. Nice, but a bit steep - especially if my clumsy DH breaks one!!

Anyone know where I can get some?

I think you'd be hardpressed to find suitable ceramic bowls cheaper due to the cost of making them; here's an plastic alternative for a fiver or these cermaic bowls raised up for 15.

If they're coming from the uk you could use parcel motel to save on postage? I'd be worried they'd arrive smashed though!

I saw some in Maxizoo in Douglas that were a good bit deeper than the normal ceramic bowls. I didn't look at the price but I doubt they were anywhere near £20 + £22. Also just found this on Amazon:

I actually have a Mason Cash bowl that's been in the family for 4 generations of dogs. It originally belonged to my family's cocker spaniels so it's at least 30 years old.

@tk123. I did think about Parcel Motel, but even UK postage is £10 EACH!! The seller will not discount the postage...

I don't really mind the cost, but the postage is a killer!!l Divorce proceedings could very well follow if my clumsy hubby breaks one!

Maybe just get some cereal bowls in Ikea or Dunnes or somewhere like that? Works out a lot cheaper and the bowls are often better quality.

@Bluecherry. I've just looked at the Mason Cash Bowls on Amazon. They look great, but have a quick Q if that's OK...

Is the dog food bowl nice and deep?

Seems very reasonably priced and its fulfilled by amazon so if you pick up another couple of things and it comes to over £25 you will get free shipping. I must get a mason cash bowl myself, the plastic one I have is grand but it's looking very ratty these days.
