The short version: Fines £18,000 and banned for 4 months for betting irregularities. 3 months suspended. 1 month back dated to when he pulled out of the England squad May 23rd Available therefore for start of season. No suggestion he bet on any matches he was directly involved in. Good news I suppose but some speculation…

Good news I suppose but some speculation was he bet against spurs whilst on loan at QPR. I'd really hope that wasn't the case TBH. If he'd bet on us I'd be much happier.

stupid thing to do, but hopefully he learns from it and comes back and does well for us, he was playing very well for QPR since he went to them, most notably playing on the right side i think.
