    Am I wrong in thinking the DART and 84x are the only options?

    These will get you there directly.
    * 145 (west end only).
    * 145 + 184 or 84 (east end only, change at Bray town hall).
    * DART + 184 or 84 (east end only, change at Bray train station).
    * 84x (limited service, runs along the road).

    However, the road is more than 2km long, so put the exact location and date and time into www.a-b.ie and then play around with the options.

    Note that you can get joint bus and rail tickets - shop around, there are lots of options.

    Cheers Victor, the first 84x isn't till 12 and I need to be there for 1pm, I'm heading to the IDA Business Park. Looks like it's a DART and bit of walking.

    There is a finnegans bray bus that goes from the dart station up, so that'd be your best bet, it's a long walk. The bus goes the entire length of the southern cross and is pretty regular if you check their website it will probably give you fares and times.

    Legend, couldn't remember the name of that bus.

    Matter of interest, does anyone know how much a monthly ticket is for the DART? (Pearse to Bray).

    It is a Band J suburban fare. An Adult Monthly Short Hop Rail ticket is €122 (€142 including Dublin Bus).

    You can get a Adult 7 Day point-to-point (all stations Connolly-Bray) ticket for €27.50 or an Adult 7 Day Inner Short Hop (all stations Rush & Lusk, Maynooth, Hazelhatch & Celbridge, Bray) Rail for €32.50 or Adult 7 Day Short Hop (all stations Balbriggan, M3 Parkway, Maynooth, Hazelhatch & Celbridge and Kilcoole) for €37.

    The Dublin Bus tickets are here: http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Fares--Tickets/Tickets/2-Journey-Daily-Weekly/ note that with the Rambler tickets, the days do not need to be consecutive, so if only used 5 days a week, the 30 day ticket would last 6 weeks.

    It your employer participates in the scheme and you earn enough to pay tax, you should be able to get a discount under the www.taxsaver.ie scheme.
