Request for assistance with eFibre Boards map

Hi,

A Board crowdsource mapping effort is underway at present, We are missing key data in Tipperary where the number of ericom efibre cabinets in Tipperary, especially in Thurles and Clonmel, is notably low; Is there any chance that someone in Clonmel and someone in Thurles could help by following the simple instructions and dropping in the cabinet locations as described HERE. The good news is that these cabinets are being installed in more rural locations than those where UPC are present and that people around Clonmel and Thurles with no UPC should have an alternative by September 2013. No installations are expected beyond those two towns over the summer.

Let you know if I see more around the town. The parts of Thurles these cabinets were installed can get UPC so I can't see many people getting rid of UPC which is up to 150mbps for efibre up to 70mbps.

I too can't see people giving up UPC for a more expensive and slower product the only real benefit of VDSL over UPC is the higher upload speeds which may be of importance for a business

Anybody have any idea when the Tipperary Town fibre exchange will come online? It says on the website that it will be winter 13/14. But on the news releases when it was announced that the town would be included it said that it would be running in winter 2014.

Just have my fingers crossed that it will be sooner than later lol. Doubt it though

Last I heard for Tipp was November 2013...that may change but that the "plan".

Big three first Thurles, Nenagh, Clonmel
Then Tipperary and Roscrea
Carrick, Templemore, Cahir, Cashel, and Newport 2014

Carrick On Suir should have been included with Roscrea and Tipp town roll out

Would be surprised if Carrick and Newport were launched in 2014.....will find out later though!(Know a few ex BT folk in Eircom)
